Regional Development Australia Far North (RDA Far North) is not-for-profit organisation funded through agreements with the Australian, State and Local Governments in the Far North region.
The team at RDA Far North aim to build partnerships between government, regional development organisations, local businesses, and key regional stakeholders to assist businesses, industry and government respond to economic opportunities and challenges facing the Far North region.
Economic Development Officer - Expression of Interest
The Far North region is experiencing significant growth and Regional Development Australia Far North is offering the opportunity to a highly motivated person to work with industry, community, and government to meet the challenges and capture the opportunities these exciting times create. We require a proven ability in:
- Proven ability to build partnerships and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Business acumen, and skills and experience in economic development.
- Ability to utilise a range of communications materials for different audiences, including social media.
- Passion for the Far North region and supporting regional development.
- Sound knowledge of good governance procedures within the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience and skills in data analysis and project management.
- Excellent administration, communication, reporting and organisational skills.
- Understanding of the Local, State and Federal political landscapes; and if you believe you are the person for us, we want to hear from you!
The role is a two-year contract position working 38 hours per week, as a flexible employer, RDA Far North offers team members the opportunity to work a condensed working week completing their 38 hours over four days.
The position is based in Port Augusta, but covers the Far North, so there will be lots of travel throughout the region with our team.
