DESCRIPTION:The South Australian Tourism Commission in partnership with RDA Far North and the Flinders Ranges & Outback Tourism Marketing Committee (as the Regional Tourism Organisation) are developing a Destination Management Plan (DMP) for our region. This plan will align with the refreshed South Australian Tourism Plan 2030\, released in June 2025. \nOur DMP will help guide tourism priorities and aspirations for the Flinders Ranges & Outback\, aiming to create positive outcomes that support our local people\, communities and places to thrive. It will inform tourism activity in the region\, ensuring time and resources are focused where they can make the greatest impact. It will also serve as a valuable tool to advocate for investment in our regional priorities. \nAs a valued member of our regional tourism community\, you are invited to contribute your perspective by attending one of two upcoming Industry & Community Engagement Workshops. \nThese in-person workshops are an opportunity to shape the future of tourism in our region. DESCRIPTION:With the summer months fast approaching and the visitor numbers decreasing the FRO Committee thought it would be a great chance for a FRO REGIONAL CHECK-IN before we all ‘check-out’ for the end of season. \nNo doubt you’re feeling the fatigue like many operators in the region\, so a nice short\, sharp and shiny online session is all we need to touch base with all of our fantastic operators before the year is up. \nThe recent announcement of the Flinders Ranges & Outback as one of Lonely Planet’s Top 25 destinations in the world to visit in 2026 Travel Guide has provided a great opportunity to celebrate all of the Flinders Ranges & Outback tourism operators in our region and make a quick note of the ‘Don’t Forgets’ before the year is done.
